If you live in Northern California – or want an excuse to visit there – then put September 8 and 9 on your calendar.
That weekend marks the 33rd annual Winesong in Mendocino County.
This two-day event kicks off on Friday, September 8 with A Pinot Noir Celebration, the chance to taste and meet winemakers from 30 wineries as well as taste culinary delights from Little River Inn, perched right on the Mendocino coast.
On Saturday, September 9, the Mendocino Coast Botanical Gardens are opened for three hours of food and wine tasting plus a silent auction. A live auction follows, with a range of events and experiences to bid on, including a 10-night vacation to South Africa, including a 3-day safari; a lot of 25 vintages of Pahlmeyer, from 1990 on; and incredible local food and wine experiences, including dinner with Dan Berger at the girl & the fig restaurant.
This event is produced by the Mendocino Coast Hospital Foundation, with proceeds benefiting local healthcare initiatives. To date, the organization has raised over $7.5 million, supporting patient services, emergency services, cancer care and more.
