You could give your love a classic box of chocolates for Valentine’s Day. But why not kick it up a notch with some imaginative pairings? The folks at Bissinger’s, a 350-year old chocolate company, have come up with some creative indulgencies to satisfy a wine lover’s sweet tooth.
After all, how could you turn down chocolate covered wine grapes? More specifically – and to whet your palate further – these nibbles are muscat grapes infused with syrah then enrobed with rich dark chocolate. A one-pound box is $38, but a smaller, 3.5 ounce bag is $6.
Alternatively, indulge in the salted caramel collection. This treat starts with Bissinger’s 300-year old recipe for caramel. They are then infused with a variety of flavors, including chardonnay, merlot, pear balsamic, apple ghost chili and maple bacon. Dust with a sprinkling of gourmet salt and voilà, a sweet like no other. A box of 21 pieces is $35.
Either way, it’s decadent and delicious!
Note: I just happen to love Bissinger’s…they didn’t ask or provide money for this little blurb. It’s all me. 🙂
